- What items are prohibited for import into the customs territory of Ukraine/export outside of the customs territory of Ukraine in unaccompanied baggage?
- items (goods), for which government subsidies are set, except items for personal use;
- items (goods) intended for industrial use; - precious metals, precious stones and products made from them, cultural valuables with the intention of their alienation (transfer);
- virulent, poisonous, radioactive, explosive substances, other objects that may cause injury or threaten life of the population or the human world or lead to contamination of the environment;
- redeemed securities;
- coins, banknotes, money;
- passports;
- alcohol;
- cigars, tobacco, cigarettes;
- foodstuffs;
- live plants;
- firearms;
- products from animal skins, feathers, horns;
- chemical reagents;
- consumables (shampoo, cream, cleaners/detergents, soap, powders);
- pressurized items (gas cylinders, etc.).

- How can one properly arrange export of paintings and other objects of art, which are exported from the territory of Ukraine in unaccompanied baggage?
Below is a list of items, with exporting which out of the territory of Ukraine it is necessary to conduct the appropriate examination and obtain a special Export Permit issued by the Directorate of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine:
- cultural and historical treasures: paintings, sculptures, drawings, water colours, various types of engravings, miniatures, graphic works, paintings;
- archaeological items;
- printed matters: early printed books, cartographic publications, sheet (printed) music; - archive documents, including photo, film (video) materials;
- items of philately, notaphily, faleristics;
- decorative items made of porcelain, crystal, ceramic, wood, leather, precious stones, non- precious stones, precious and non-precious metals, bones;
- objects of folk and art crafts;
- collections and collection items;
- badges;
- tapestries;
- art clothing and footwear;
- numismatics;
- dictionaries, reference books, encyclopaedias published before 1956;
- art weapons;
- books printed before 1956;
- manuscripts;
- gramophone records;
- musical instruments;
- postage stamps and other items that have significant cultural or historical value;

- Can I export any printed matters from the territory of Ukraine?
No, there are limitations on export of printed matters from Ukraine. Below is a list of publications that cannot be exported (forwarded) beyond the borders of Ukraine:
1) Books, cartographic and sheet music publications that were published prior to 1925 inclusive.
2) Foreign books, cartographic and sheet music publications, books in Cyrillic and Glagolitic printing, printed before 1880 inclusive.
3) Periodic publications (Works, Notes, Gazettes, Reference books, Assemblies of scientific papers) published prior to 1945 inclusive.
4) Printed publications, which are rare examples of artwork:
- multiplied in an unusual way (engraved, with woven text);
- printed on unusual types of materials (silk, parchment, cork, etc.);
- in art covers of individual work, including with use of precious stones, metals, nacre, precious wood, furs, leather;
5) Printed publications with autographs, handwritten notes, bookplates from libraries and book collections of famous state and public figures, writers, scientists, cultural workers and artists.
6) Publications with signets of existing libraries and institutions.

- How can I export orders and medals from the territory of Ukraine?
Ukrainian citizens are allowed to export personal awards, for which there are order books or award certificates, in case of:
- moving to another country for permanent residence;
- providing border guard customs service an obligation to re-import the awards back to Ukraine.

- How and where is it possible to issue the above-mentioned Permits and Expert Opinions?
